Tensor Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) designed to be used for characterizing various passive, active or frequency translating devices such as mixers. With the need for advanced technologies to enable faster, more accurate, and more automated measurements with minimal user intervention, Tensor was introduced. Tensor represents a significant advancement in this field. It’s the first artificial intelligence (AI) enabled VNA with high-speed measurement performance, and enhanced architectural flexibility.

Key features include:

  • World’s first AI-assisted measurement setup and optimization
  • High-speed data acquisition and transfer
  • Dedicated source per port for improved flexibility
  • Independent control of multiple sources and receivers

Tensor is available in 2- and 4-port configurations with a variety of hardware options including direct access loops, receive-side, source-side step attenuators, a 2nd internal local oscillator (LO) on four-port instruments, external ALC, external IF in and out, and banded mmWave support. Software options include time domain processing, gain compression, several mixer measurement options, mmWave support and many others.

Artificial Intelligence

The Tensor VNA introduces AI-assisted measurement workflows enabling users to configure complex measurements through natural language interaction. “Hey, Tensor, can you help to set up a mixer measurement?” That’s the only thing you need to say to reveal all setup details, including a block diagram, recommended connections and settings. Once sufficient information is provided, the system automatically configures the measurement, performs required calibrations, and executes the test. This significantly reduces setup time, minimizes user error, and establishes a new standard for usability in advanced RF instrumentation. It is worth noting that the AI engine is inherent to Tensor, meaning it operates without any Internet connection - an important advantage for certain applications.
