Calibrated to NIST traceable standards on December 24, 2025. Comes with interconnect cables, standard power cable, ground cables with clamps, red and blue measure test leads, high voltage test lead with clamp, and traceable certificate of calibration. All pictures are of the actual unit and accessories.

  • The Biddle Cat. No. 6070070 Capacitance and Dissipation Factor (DF) Test Set is an AC high-voltage insulation diagnostic instrument designed to measure capacitance and dissipation factor (power factor / tan δ) of electrical insulation systems at elevated test voltages up to 12 kV AC. The test set operates at power frequency (50/60 Hz) and applies a controlled high-voltage stress to insulation in order to evaluate dielectric losses and insulation integrity. It is intended for testing power transformers, bushings, instrument transformers, rotating machinery stators, and high-voltage cables, supporting acceptance testing, maintenance, and long-term condition trending. 

    • AC test voltage range: 0 – 12 kV AC with digital readout (power frequency, 50/60 Hz) Test Equipment Center

    • Current output (12 kV set):

      • High range to 5 kV: 0–200 mA continuous, 0–400 mA for 10 min

      • Low range to 10 kV: 0–100 mA continuous, 0–200 mA for 10 min

    • Capacitance: 0 – 220,000 pF in eight ranges (110 to 220,000 pF FS)
