DS-GYRO is a high-performance MEMS-based inertial measurement unit (IMU). With its rugged housing and industry-standard communication protocols it is designed to meet the needs of various navigational applications.
The device outputs and logs standard inertial measurement data (Pitch, Roll, Yaw) together with device diagnostic information. The device is bundled with award-winning DewesoftX data acquisition software for acquiring, storing, visualization, and real-time data processing.
DS-GYRO3 High-performance inertial measurement unit (IMU)
DS-GYRO3 is a high-performance Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) based Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). With its rugged housing and industry-standard communication protocols it is designed to meet the needs of various navigational applications.
The unit by itself sends standard inertial measurement data (Pitch, Roll, and Yaw), an additional magnetometer, and diagnostic information.
The device provides two data interfaces:
USB 3.0 type C for PC connection running DewesoftX data acquisition software.
CAN interface for 3rd-party integrations.
The DS-GYRO3 device is powered by the same USB cable.
By connecting the unit to a USB port of a PC running DewesoftX data acquisition software, the data can be displayed, processed, and stored in real-time. Additionally, the DewesoftX software calculates the unit orientation from built-in inertial sensors with an extended Kalman filter (EKF) algorithm.
DS-GYRO3 provides an update rate of 1800 Hz and is in general more accurate that the DS-GYRO1 device.
Robust design in a small package
DS-GYRO3 device is built in a very robust and small housing with IP68-grade environmental protection. The device is waterproof, shockproof, dustproof, and ready to be used in any condition. The device can operate in extreme temperature conditions from -40°C to +85°C. The device also corresponds to the MIL-STD-810G and IEC 60068-2-27 specifications.
Size: 82,61 x 54,7 x 30,1 mm [3.3 x 2.2 x 1.2 inch]
Weight: 55 grams [1.94 ounces]
Built with accurate internal sensors
DS-GYRO3 is a non-ITAR, MEMS-based IMU device. It includes several inertial sensors that provide 9 degrees of freedom (DOF) movement in a small package. This is achieved with three types of built-in sensors:
MEMS-based gyroscope: ±490 degrees per second in all axes.
MEMS-based accelerometer: ±16g in all axes.
Magnetometer
DS-GYRO1 Cost-efficient inertial measurement unit (IMU)
DS-GYRO1 is a cost-efficient inertial measurement unit (IMU) with a great cost-performance ratio. It also features rugged housing with IP67 environmental protection. DS-GYRO1 can meet the needs of various navigational applications.
The unit by itself sends standard inertial measurement data (Pitch, Roll, and Yaw), an additional magnetometer, and diagnostic information.
The device provides a USB data interface:
USB 2.0 for PC connection running DewesoftX data acquisition software.
The DS-GYRO1 is powered via the same USB 2.0 connection.
The USB cable is connected and secured to the unit with a round locking.
DS-GYRO1 offers an update rate of up to 500 Hz and an acceleration range of 2g, 4g, and 16g.
DewesoftX data acquisition software included
DS-GYRO devices include our award-winning DewesoftX software. Setting up DS-GYRO devices is very simple and painless. Once the device is connected the software will show all available channels (parameters) from the device.
3d model widget
A DewesoftX 3D model widget allows visualizing the yaw, pitch, and roll of the 3D model of your vehicles (cars, planes, boats) connected to the DS-GYRO channels. When in Measure or Analyze mode the model will change the position and orientation accordingly to the DS-GYRO channels that are assigned to the widget.
Perfect for various applications
DS-GYRO inertial measurement units can be used in many testing applications.
Maritime
The behavior and orientation of the vessel on the water's surface.
