Correct verification of sound level meters and dosime-ters is essential before and after each series of measure-ments. The CB011 (class 1) and CB012 (class 2) acous-tic calibrators provide maximum reliability when perform-ing these verifications.
The CB011 and CB012 are managed with just one but-ton. When pressed, it generates a sound pressure level of 94 dB and uses 1 kHz as the verification frequency, this means that there is no need of corrections due to frequency weightings.
Both calibrators are portable and very easy to use, which makes them useful for the verification of sound level me-ters (class 1 and class 2) and dosimeters at the point of measurement and in the laboratory. They can be used with any microphone capable of being verified in a closed cavity and with a diameter of ½ ". They have two LEDs (ON and 94 dB), both visible throughout the verifi-cation process, which keep the user informed of the level stability and also the state of the batteries.
The operation of the CB011 and CB012 is based on a feedback loop system. In this way, the level generated is independent of the environmental conditions in which the equipment is located.
In addition, these calibrators have a protection system that prevents the equipment from being turned on invol-untarily, both after use and due to accidental power on.
