The RS-60 sound level recorder measures and records the sound pressure lev-el inside the room in which it is installed. The RS-60 consists of a central re-cording unit and a sensor developed on the basis of the technology used in the manufacture of CESVA sound level meters.
The central recording unit of the RS-60 stores the information measured by the sensor and any incidents that may have occurred. The RS-60 allows you to pro-gramme the periodicity with which this information is stored (from 1 minute to 1 hour in 1-minute steps).
The RS-60 is equipped with an internal battery that allows it to continue func-tioning even when disconnected from the mains. The battery lasts for one week. Before it runs out, the RS-60 records the day and time that this occurs. When the battery runs out, the RS-60 automatically turns itself off. The stored data is retained. When the unit is reconnected to the mains, the RS-60 continues to function as normal.
The RS-60 is equipped with a indicator light showing that the unit is connected to the mains and it features two indicator lights, to tell you that the environmen-tal noise does not exceed legal limits, and to warn if you are exceeding the legal limit.
A luminous remote display may be connected to the RS-60, allowing you to ob-serve in real time the sound pressure level measured.
The information recorded by the RS-60 may be retrieved directly from the paral-lel port by connecting the port to a printer. It may also be retrieved by serial con-nection to a computer.
With the assistance of the REL-2 relay box, the RS-60 may be converted into a sound limiter. The REL-2 is equipped with two switches (relays) with which it is possible to activate or deactivate any apparatus either controlled or fed by an electric signal.
Whenever the sound pressure level exceeds the limit programmed for each of the two switches, (pre-alarm and alarm), (Limitalarm > Limitpre-alarm), they are switched for a set time.
The RS-60 is a small compact unit, completely sealed and protected against possible manipulation.
