FLD 12R system is designed for transformer oil regeneration. Oil regeneration is done by passing oxidized transformer oil through absorptive beds of Fuller's Earth. Fuller's Earth is purified clay that does a very effective job of removing polar contaminants and other oxidation by-products from the transformer oil. After Fluidex's regeneration, the parameters of oxidized transformer oil are restored to those of new oil.

Advantages
Fluidex regeneration technology offers many advantages over traditional regeneration systems. With a Fluidex regeneration system, Fuller’s Earth beds can be reused up to 500 or more times before they need to be replaced. This makes the life of the plant operator easier since he does not have to physically handle hundreds of kilograms of Fuller’s Earth per day. This ability to reuse the Fuller’s Earth eliminates the need and the costs associated with disposal, extra handling of material, environmental issues of dumping the oil soaked Fuller’s Earth and special equipment necessary for dumping of the spent Fuller’s Earth.
Fluidex’s Technology reduces oil losses associated with the dumping of spent Fuller’s Earth by over 90%. This greatly reduces the need and associated costs of replacement transformer oil.
Applications
FLD 12R oil regeneration systems can be used for regeneration of the transformer oils, turbine oils, hydraulic oils, gear oils, industrial oils, silicone oils, Midel 7131 dielectric fluids, FR3 dielectric fluids.
