KRYPTON CPU is the smallest, highly portable, and extremely rugged IP67 data logger and data processing computer for data recording and analysis in extremely harsh environments with a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +70°C. It perfectly completes the KRYPTON data acquisition modules to form a stand-alone DAQ system.

 

Rugged CPU and Data Logger Tailor-Made for KRYPTON® Family

KRYPTON® CPU perfectly complements the KRYPTON data acquisition modules. It adds an extremely rugged data logger and processing computer to the distributed KRYPTON DAQ modules. Together they form a stand-alone logging acquisition system for testing in very harsh environments.

 

KRYPTON® CPU can also be used with any of our other product line DAQs, such as SIRIUS, SIRIUS mini, DEWE-43, and IOLITE.

 

Rugged Computing Ready for Extreme Environment

KRYPTON® CPU is engineered precisely to withstand harsh environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures from -40°C .. 70°C. It offers an IP67 degree of protection which means it's waterproof, dustproof, and can withstand shocks up to 100G

 

KRYPTON® CPU chassis is milled out of a full block of aluminum and filled with thermally conductive and electrically isolative rubber which makes the unit fully waterproof.

 

KRYPTON® CPU can be used everywhere. You can place it in the temperature chamber in the test facility or use it while performing measurements on big vehicles exposed to the most extreme environments. It will never let you down!

 

Small Form Factor for a Rugged Computer and Data Logger

KRYPTON® CPU is really small. It measures only 202 mm (7.95 inches) in length, 77 mm (3.03 inches) in width, and 71 mm (2.8 inches) thick. With its small footprint, it's a perfect choice for applications where space is an expensive asset. It is small enough to fit into tight places yet feature-rich to offer everything you need for your measurement applications.

 

Reliable SSD Data Logging

This unit includes high performance and a highly reliable 256 GB SSD data storage unit. With a typical 180 MB/s write rate, there is enough capacity to store hundreds of channels at high speed including high-speed video.

 

A built-in SSD hard drive can withstand very high shocks and vibrations (up to 100G RMS) so you can be always sure that your data is safe no matter the testing conditions and harsh environment.

 

Enough Processing Power for Basic Data Processing Needs

While being very small and rugged, KRYPTON CPU also offers strong data processing capabilities. Built-in Intel Atom quad-core CPU with fast 4 GB memory packs enough processing power for the acquisition of multiple channels at high speed and allows online data processing and visualization.

 

Highly optimized DewesoftX data acquisition software will take maximum advantage of the latest CPU technologies built into KRYPTON CPU. It will allow visually rich graphics, smooth workflows, and online math processing on your data. 

 

EtherCAT Master

KRYPTON® CPU has a built-in full-duplex EtherCAT port which serves as the direct expansion of our EtherCAT devices like KRYPTON DAQ modules or SIRIUS modular slices with the EtherCAT interface.

 

EtherCAT data acquisition can be connected directly and distributed out of the KRYPTON's CPU EtherCAT port. Only one cable is needed for data transfer, power, and synchronization.

 

Uncompromised Connectivity

KRYPTON CPU computer might be very small a rugged but this does not keep him from being equipped with all the needed interfaces for connectivity and expansion:

 

  • DVI video: fully compatible with VGA and HDMI. All our rugged mobile displays are compatible with KRYPTON CPU.

  • 3x USB 2.0: for data acquisition devices like SIRIUS, DEWE-43A, and peripherals like mouse, keyboard, and external hard drives.

  • EtherCAT master port: for connecting any of our EtherCAT data acquisition devices like KRYPTON or SIRIUS.

  • Gigabit LAN and WLAN interfaces: for wired and wireless connectivity.
