SIRIUS R8DB is a portable and high channel count data acquisition system. It can be configured with up to 128 analog input channels with high-end signal conditioning amplifiers. The system is equipped with a built-in data logger, a powerful processing computer with modern connectivity interfaces, a high-resolution touch screen display, and internal batteries for maximum portability.

Full HD Display
R8D and R8DB DAQ systems have integrated 17'-inch high-brightness, multitouch display with Full HD resolution. The display provides enough resolution for all your visuals and enough visibility even in the harshest environments. The high-quality display allows wide viewing angles.
Powerful SBOX computer built-in
At the heart of the SIRIUS® R2 and R4 data acquisition systems is a powerful SBOXse computer. The computers are powered by an Intel® Core CPU, powerful enough even for the most demanding signal processing tasks:
SIRIUS® R2: Intel Core i7 CPU.
SIRIUS® R4: Intel Core i7 CPU.
SBOX computer is equipped with 8 GB of memory and is optionally upgradeable to 32 GB. A fast internal SSD drive provides reliable storage for long-term and high-speed data recording.
The SBOX computer is also equipped with modern connectivity interfaces:
Network interfaces: 2x GLAN, 1x WLAN.
USB 3.0: 4x USB 3.0 ports for data acquisition devices like SIRIUS, DEWE-43A, and peripherals like mouse, keyboard, printers, and external hard drives.
EtherCAT expansion port: for expanding input channels with any of our EtherCAT-based data acquisition systems such as KRYPTON, IOLITE, or SIRIUSe.
HDMI video: for connecting an external display.
GPS/GNSS receiver (optional): 10 Hz or 100 Hz GNSS receiver with an option to connect external GPS display or to an RTK base station.
Battery powered with built-in Li-ion batteries
SIRIUS® R1DB and R2DB DAQ systems have built-in Li-Ion batteries that enable full autonomy without any external power supply. This makes both systems to be truly portable data acquisition systems.
DualCore Amplifiers High Dynamic Range - 160dB
Dual 24-bit Delta-sigma ADC with 200 kS/sec inputs. Up to 160 dB dynamic range. SIRIUS DualCore ADC modules can be individually equipped with any of the following amplifiers:
UNI: All-around universal amplifier for all strain types, IEPE sensors, and high input range. Available with DSUB9 and LEMO L2B10f connector. Compatible with DSI adapters.
STG: Most versatile amplifier for strain and other sensors. Available with DSUB9, LEMO L1B7f, L2B7f, and L2B10f connectors. Compatible with DSI adapters.
STGM: Universal voltage, strain gauge, and resistance amplifier at a good price and great quality. Available with DSUB9 or LEMO connectors. Compatible with DSI adapters.
ACC: High dynamic IEPE and voltage amplifier for IEPE accelerometers and microphones. BNC connector.
CHG: High dynamic load, IEPE, and voltage amplifier for a charge or IEPE accelerometers and microphones. BNC connector.
HV: High voltage amplifier for electrical power applications. CATII ±1200 V, CAT III ±600 V. Banana connectors.
LV: ±200V universal voltage amplifier for connecting current transducers and other sensors. Available in DSUB9 and banana plugs. Compatible with DSI adapters.
MIC200: Isolated voltage amplifier for 200V polarized microphones. Available with L2B7f LEMO connectors.

High-density (HD) amplifiers offer 24-bit Delta-sigma ADC with an anti-aliasing filter and 200 kS/s sampling rate. SIRIUS high-density slices offer 16-channel analog inputs in the same chassis with the best price-performance ratio. The following HD amplifiers are available:
16xSTGS: universal strain gauge amplifier. Compatible with DSI adapters. DSUB9 or LEMO L1B10f connectors.
16xACC: IEPE and voltage amplifier for connecting accelerometers and microphones.
16xLV DSUB: all-around universal voltage amplifier for connecting various sensors. Compatible with DSI adapters. DSUB9 or BNC connectors.
High-Speed Amplifiers 16-bit SAR ADC. High-Speed Sampling.
High-speed (HS) amplifiers offer 16-bit inputs with SAR ADC and 1 MS/s sampling rate. SIRIUS high-speed slices can be individually equipped with any of the following HS amplifiers:
