SIRIUS® RT data acquisition systems combine high-end signal conditioning amplifiers and real-time EtherCAT data bus for low latency data output capability to 3rd party EtherCAT® real-time controllers.

 

The SIRIUS® RT DAQ systems can perform high-speed buffered data acquisition and feed real-time data to any 3rd-party EtherCAT® master such as Beckoff, MTS FlexTest, Syclone Clemessy, Labview, and others.

 

Data Acquisition and Real-Time Control Merged in One System

SIRIUS RT systems (R2rt, R4rt, and R8rt) offer our world-class data acquisition combined with a real-time low-latency EtherCAT bus. They incorporate the same SIRIUS data acquisition technologies, high-end signal conditioning, built-in SSD data logging, and a very powerful signal processing computer.

 

EtherCAT slave port allows the system to be connected to any 3rd party EtherCAT master or real-time controller. This allows the system to feed the acquired data in real-time.

 

Integrate Into Existing Test Bench Real-Time Controllers

Traditionally you need to purchase and configure additional control system I/O's to bring data from analog sensors and data acquisition systems to the test bench controllers. With SIRIUS RT systems this is done faster, cheaper, and also much more accurate.

SIRIUS® modular system

If you prefer modularity we provide the same real-time capability within small SIRIUS® modular slices with EtherCAT® data interface (SIRIUSe).

 

Similarly to the bigger SIRIUS® RT rack units, SIRIUS® modular slices can use the USB interface to store the full-speed data to the connected PC running DewesoftX software and in parallel use the EtherCAT® interface to feed reduced data with low latency to external EtherCAT® masters.

 

Extend channel count with multiple SIRIUS® RT devices

When you need to scale your data acquisition system and extend input channels you can easily connect and synchronize multiple SIRIUS® RT devices. Any number of SIRIUS® R8rt, R4rt, R2rt, and/or SIRIUS® modular EtherCAT® units can be daisy-chained and combined to reach the desired channel configuration. There are virtually no limits on how to configure larger systems.

SIRIUS DAQ devices offer high galvanic channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground isolation (±1000 V). The DAQ systems even offer isolated sensor excitation.

    All-In-One Instruments

    SIRIUS RT systems offer standalone operation with a powerful built-in data processing CPU (SBOX computer) and highly reliable SSD data storage. 

    128 Analog Inputs

    Systems can be configured with up 128 high-dynamic analog input channels. Select between various signal conditioning amplifiers for voltage, current, IEPE, charge, strain, LVDT, thermocouple, RTD, and resistance signals.

    Up to 64 Counter/Encoder Inputs

    R8 DAQ system can be configured with up to 64 counter/encoder or 192 digital input channels, all equipped with our patented SuperCounter technology.

    EtherCAT Expansion Port

    DAQ system includes EtherCAT master port with built-in synchronization for easy connection and extension of any of our EtherCAT-based DAQ systems like KRYPTON, IOLITE, or SIRIUSe DAQ systems.

    100 Hz GPS With RTK

    We can integrate an optional 10Hz or 100Hz GNSS receiver directly into the DAQ system. This enables precise GPS positioning for navigational testing applications. GNSS receivers offer optional RTK support which can improve the positioning accuracy down to 1 cm.
